Hello Berroco Fan!

As you may know, Berroco has partnered with a few select companies around the world to bring quality yarns to North America. One of our closest partners is Amano Yarns, maker of luxurious alpaca and alpaca-blend yarns that are inspired by the beautiful country of Peru, where they are made.

Recently, Amano took to Instagram to share photos of the people who make the luxurious alpaca and alpaca-blend yarns you love from Amano. We always love to know the story behind how fiber becomes yarn.

Good morning from the Andes! Meet Deodora and our lovely Alpacas joining in on this picture taken at our factory, where we sort all of our fibers.
Amano's Instagram account featured their supply chain and the lovely workers, who work hard each and every day to bring you artisanal Alpaca yarn from the Andes in Peru.
Meet Jennifer, who is sorting the best quality of our beautiful Alpaca fibre by hand.
The images provide a sneak peek into the process of making yarn, and they're so interesting! If you've ever wondered what goes into turning fleece into yarn, be sure to visit Amano's Instagram account to see all the photos (and hit the follow button so you can keep up with all of their gorgeous new photos).
Meet Tania, who is surrounded by our lovely Alpaca fleece each and every day, sorting and selecting the best quality by hand
Meet Gabino, who works at our spinning mill, making sure our Alpaca fleece gets spinned correctly and turned into perfect tops and hanks.
We love seeing what fabulous new yarns and patterns Amano develops each year, working with top designers in the knitting and crochet world to create projects that show off the beauty of Amano's alpaca and alpaca-blend yarns. In addition to past pattern collections from Martha Wissing and Laura Zukaite, Amano has recently teamed up with Andrea Rangel, Cathy Carron, and Isabell Kraemer, and have more collaborations on the way.
