Hello Berroco Fan!

As you may know, Berroco has partnered with a few select companies around the world to bring quality yarns to North America. One of our closest partners is Amano Yarns, maker of luxurious alpaca and alpaca-blend yarns that are inspired by the beautiful country of Peru, where they are made.

This year Amano is bringing out three new yarns, along with a gorgeous new pattern collection featuring all of their fabulous, luxurious yarns.

The Awaq Poncho is knit in the brand new Amano Yarns AWA (55% baby alpaca, 26% merino wool, 19% pima cotton), color #1105 Awapili plant
As you likely know, Peru is an excellent provider for many fibers we use for knitting and crochet. Alpaca, wool, and cotton are some of the main fibers used to produce yarns in the region, including Berroco Ultra® Alpaca. Amano Yarns specializes in alpaca and alpaca-blend yarns, such as the brand new Amano Yarns AWA. Awa blends baby alpaca, merino wool, and pima cotton and is perfect for projects such as the Awaq Poncho or the Asiri Necklace.
Five hanks of Amano Yarns PACHA (55% mulberry silk, 25% super kid mohair, 25% wool) in shade #1210 Teal Blue are used to knit the Urpi Shawl
PACHA, another new yarn, combines mulberry silk, super kid mohair, and wool for a soft, cozy yarn that's perfect for accessories. The Urpi Shawl or the Kusi Mitts show off this yarn beautifully.
Amano Yarns ECO PUNA BLACK (100% baby alpaca) is used to knit the Karina Fingerless Mitts
Amano has had PUNA and ECO PUNA, but now they're introducing ECO PUNA BLACK, an undyed, naturally black yarn of 100% baby alpaca. Black is one of the least common colors of alpaca, and this gorgeously undyed yarn incredibly soft to the touch. The Karina Fingerless Mitts or Patricia Cowl are perfect fits for this yarn.
Two colors of Amano Yarns PUNA (100% baby alpaca) and one of ECO PUNA are used to make the Jessica Shawl: #9004 Sand Dunes, #4003 Sacred Valley, and #4010 Inca Ruins
Of course, Amano also has new patterns for their existing yarns, you can see all 24 new patterns on Ravelry. And you can get one of these new patterns absolutely free! Use the coupon code YAYAMANO to get any ONE of the new Amano patterns absolutely free—but hurry, this offer ends at 11:59 pm EST on October 26.
