Knitting in the Sun
This week we take a break from perusing fall knits to preview Knitting in the Sun, a new pattern collection from knitting phenom Kristi Porter. Published by Wiley, this paperback collection boasts 32 patterns, many of which are knit in Berroco yarns.

Kristi is a California based designer who has compiled a selection of sweaters that won't make you swelter in summer heat. Her expertise shines through in the yarn choices. Porter pairs warm weather yarns with sensible stitch patterns to create highly wearable garments. All of that and they're adorable too!

Kristi and her team at Wiley have graciously provided us with an excerpt of the book, one of my personal favorites, the Windansea Sunhat. Designed by Kristi, this hat borrows techniques from Annie Modesitt's Knitting Millnery. It uses just two hanks of Seduce® which means you can have a special knit for just under $20 dollars.
