We are beyond excited to introduce Blackstone
Tweed™, a superb new yarn for fall and beyond. In my opinion there is no such thing as a bad tweed but this yarn in particular is pretty close to perfect. The all-natural fiber blend is a home run. The combination of soft, resilient wool with a dose of mohair and angora make this yarn soft, lightweight and stable.
The garments in Booklet
#288 Blackstone Tweed™ are classic but never boring. A texture filled turtleneck like Nesselrode could be stuffy, but the relaxed cowlneck collar and shortened sleeves keep it current. Even the standby sweater vest gets a boost of energy with Napoleon, a highly detailed but easy to love garment that blends the best of knitting and crochet.
As usual, we've put together a collection of exclusive close-ups and alternate views in our audio slideshow. Listen in as Norah and I discuss our favorite details and share stories from the photo shoot. Next week we'll present a new video tutorial and, of course, a fresh free pattern.
This week's free pattern, Bantam, is a shortened version of Nonpareil, a full-length cardigan knit in Blackstone
Tweed™. Knit in softly shaded Suede™, this cropped jacket looks great over summer sundresses.
Congratulations to our 4 lucky winners and thank you to all our participants!
