As most of you probably know, Berroco is based in New England, an area with a happily dense population of knitters, yarn stores and yarn companies. Cecily Glowik MacDonald and Melissa LaBarre have partnered with Interweave Press to release a design collection that celebrates our uniquely fibrous region. Cecily and Melissa approached four guest designers to contribute projects to the book, and I was thrilled to be asked to contribute Northampton Kerchief knit in three shades of Ultra® Alpaca Fine. I share their love for the distinct seasons and vastly different landscapes of New England. Garments like the Auburn Top, knit in Berroco Inca® Gold, reflect the heart of New England style—classic refinement that is never ostentatious.
