I-Cord on the Edge
I've always admired people who can successfully multitask. The ability to easily juggle multiple situations at once can seem almost superhuman. Happily, anyone (even a fairly new knitter) can perform a little multitasking miracle when working an I-cord cast on and bind off. Instead of knitting an I-cord separately, it's surprisingly easy to knit it on while simultaneously working the cast on and bind off.
Beekman, a bright and cheery hooded pullover from Booklet #313 Berroco Comfort® & Vintage™, makes excellent use of I-cord edging, especially for trimming the hood and the cuff. For a demo on both techniques, check out our video. Then, try out your skills with Engel, this week's free pattern. Don't forget to look through our other how-to videos for more helpful tutorials! |
