Joy of Pompoms
If a knitted or crocheted project were an ice cream sundae, a pompom would be the cherry on top. Just like maraschino cherries are meant for topping desserts, pompoms belong on projects with a definite sense of whimsy and fun. For examples of great patterns using pompoms, take a look at Liddell and Ion from the fall pattern booklets, and Gretchen from our KnitBits archive.
Carroll, this week’s free pattern, gets an added dose of charm from pompoms made with beautiful multicolored Berroco Boboli™. Making a pompom is surprisingly easy, especially if you use one of the inexpensive pompom makers available in stores. For a demo on the technique, check out our video.
