Continental Style Knitting

Knit Stitch: Continental Style - Video Ruckle, Free Pattern

Today we’re picking up where we left off at the end of KnitBits issue #456. In that newsletter, we started exploring different methods for working a knit stitch, and included a video demo on a technique called the English style, or throwing. If you aren’t a “thrower,” then chances are you’re a “picker,” working in what is commonly referred to as the Continental style.

For a demonstration on how to work a knit stitch in the Continental style, watch our new how-to video. If you find the video helpful, be sure to explore our how-to video library to see more.

Free PatternsRuckle's unusual construction starts with a wedge at each shoulder and finishes up with vertical garter stitch borders knit-on as you go.
