Hoe-to-Video: Reverse Single CrochetDetail - Skagit

Importance of checking your gauge

Most knitters know that itís important to knit a gauge swatch before starting a big project, but do you ever stop to double check your gauge on the actual piece? This trick has helped me avoid potentially disastrous consequences in my knitting! Even the most experienced knitter may discover that his or her gauge has changed since working the original swatch. Mood, time of day, or increasing familiarity with the stitch pattern can all contribute to fluctuations in gauge. For a demonstration on how to accurately measure your gauge on either a swatch or a project in progress, check out our new how-to video. If you found the video helpful, be sure to check out our how-to video library for more tips.
