Placing Stitch Markers

I had been knitting for a while before I realized the importance of stitch markers. I’d seen them in shops and wondered what the little circle and safety pin shaped objects were used for. But then I would move on to yarn and leave the shop dreaming of my next project – not giving those little markers another thought. When I finally came across a pattern that instructed me to “pm” (place marker) or “sm” (slip marker), I found out just how helpful they can be! Watch my how-to video for examples of how and when to use your stitch markers. Then grab some stitch markers of your own and cast on for this week’s free pattern, Graphite.
