Beginning with Comfort

Before you begin making anything with a new skein of yarn, you have to find a loose end to start from. When yarn comes in a hank, you should wind it into a ball. When yarn is already in ball or skein form, you are one step closer to beginning to create. There are two ends to the yarn in your skein - ideally we would work from the center out. How do you find that piece? You reach down into the center of the ball and feel around for a loose end. Once you have found the strand you can pull it out, and begin knitting!
