Hoe-to-Video: Malemute's Pattern StitchMalemute (Detail)

Twisted Lace Stitch

When there are so many beautiful yarns to choose from, it can be hard to limit yourself to just one. For the Fall/Winter ‘14 collection, I was drawn to soft, warm whites, big fluffy yarns and new lace patterns. I was curious to see how different yarns with similar qualities would mix and make an exciting new fabric. I choose Berroco Kodiak®, Berroco Folio™ and Berroco Cirrus™ for a lace pattern stitch that uses garter rows and elongated stitches that are twisted to form a series of woven crosses. It looks much more complicated than it really is! You'll have everyone in your knitting group in awe. Ready to cast on and learn the pattern stitch for yourself? Follow along with my how-to video and then cast on for your very own cozy lace poncho.
