How To Video - Seaming a Lace Border

This week’s free pattern, Anastasia, is a luxurious shawl designed by Brenda York, our fabulous tech editor. Brenda has a special talent for color, which she applied to this ombre shawl. It is knit with two strands of Andean Mist® held together, with colors changing one strand at a time to create a subtle shift in tone. But what makes this design really unique is the lace border on either end knit in Captiva®. These are made before you even begin the shawl. One is attached by picking up stitches while the other is seamed using a tapestry needle. Need a refresher on these skills? Watch How-To: Pick Up Stitches and How-To: Seam a Lace Border before you cast on.
