When I first started working as assistant designer at Berroco, I worked alongside Norah Gaughan. She challenged me to become a better teacher, and a better knitter, for which I’m so grateful. When I found out she was leaving Berroco to work on her own, I wanted to knit one of her designs (I hadn’t done that yet!) and wear it before she left. Obviously, I though the pattern should include some cables so I started browsing Norah Gaughan vol. 9. It’s a gorgeous collection of cabled sweaters and accessories. I chose Fleta, but I really fell in love with the whole booklet. I know a lot of you love these patterns, too, and today you can buy your favorite as a single pattern PDF on our website and Ravelry. Can’t choose just one? We’re releasing the ebook on Ravelry, too! To see what Norah has been up to take a look at her website.
These mittens have leaves that form on the top of the hand, a little reminder of spring to come.
