Get Swept Away with Berroco Fiora® and Berroco Folio®
You might not think of alpaca as a spring or summer fiber. But when blended with other, lighter fibers, alpaca can become a luxurious warm-weather knitting fiber. In Berroco Fiora®, we've blended alpaca with cotton, rayon, nylon, and wool; Berroco Folio® is simply alpaca blended with rayon. In both Berroco Fiora and Berroco Folio, the resulting yarns are lightweight, soft to the touch, and perfect for garments and accessories. The six pieces designed by Emily Nora O'Neil for Berroco #372 Fiora + Folio demonstrate the range that these yarns can have. The cardigans, tunic, and shawls in this collection are perfect for any time of year, but are ideally worn on a slightly windy day (preferably complete with a trip to the seashore), to show off the beautiful drape that alpaca lends any combination of yarn.
You could also knit any of the Folio patterns in this book in Berroco Folio Luxe®, which combines a little bit of sparkle with classic neutral colors. Be sure to pick up your copy of Berroco #372 Fiora + Folio before May 1, when we start our knitalong for the Odora shawl, knit with four balls of Berroco Folio®.
