My First Berroco Knit-Along

As the newest member of the Berroco family, I haven't had the opportunity to participate in a Berroco Knit-Along (or KAL for short). I have done a knit-along before, and I love joining them, so I'm looking forward to our next knit-along. What's so great about a knit-along?

  1. They create communities: there's always a theme to a knit-along, whether it's the pattern, the yarn, or even a broader theme, that brings people together around a common interest.
  2. Stumped? No worries! In pattern-based knit-alongs, multiple people are knitting the same pattern, so if you have a question, you can get quick responses and feedback without having to search too hard for an answer.
  3. On-going encouragement. Seeing progress photos from other people spurs me on to keep going with my projects.

We've just wrapped up our Winter KAL, so it's time for a new Berroco KAL! Beginning Monday, May 2, we'll be knitting the Odora Shawl. Designed by Emily Nora O'Neil, Odora is a top-down triangular shawl worked in a garter stitch lace pattern. The lace sections are charted, but they feature simple stitches—and I'll be there to answer any questions you might have. Need a chart-reading refresher? Watch this video for helpful tips.

All you need to join the knit-along is the pattern or Booklet #372 Folio + Fiora and 4 balls of Berroco Folio. Then head over to the Berroco Lovers group on Ravelry (it's free to join if you're not a member) and let us know you're joining in the fun!
