Berroco How-to: Adding Fringe

From fashion runways to ready-to-wear racks, we’ve seen fringe used in a variety of ways to easily add some visual interest to garments and accessories. There’s many ways to add fringe to a knitted project, and this video demonstrates one of the easiest ways. It’s a perfect way to add a little oomph to this week’s free shawl knitting pattern. You’ll need a crochet hook to work the edging and add the fringe; if your crochet skills are a little rusty, we have a quick video demonstrating how to work the crocheted edge, too!

A bottom-up shawl is knit in garter stitch with yarnover increases. A crocheted edge adds a lacy element before fringe is added.
