The Berroco Remix® Light Knit-along started yesterday!
We're indulging our love of our new DK-weight, 100% recycled-fiber yarn, but Berroco Remix® and Remix Light aren't our only recycled-fibers yarn. Berroco Indigo® is made from recycled jeans! This 95% cotton and 5% other (the threads and such from the seams; read more about that here) is a great summer yarn, and we've had a lot of fun designing with it over the years.
There are two Berroco Indigo pattern collections—Berroco Indigo Vol 1 and Berroco Indigo Vol 2—and many more, both paid and free, in the Berroco pattern collection, but there have also been some great Berroco Indigo patterns released in other sources.

In her book, Knitted Cable Sourcebook, Norah Gaughan shows off the amazing stitch definition you can get with Berroco Indigo. The Sourcebook Poncho is knit in pieces and joined with a three-needle bind off to create a flowing, gorgeously cabled piece to wear whenever.

Amy Christoffers and Alison Green have both used Berroco Indigo to publish patterns with knitscene magazine. Alison's Lorena Cardigan appeared in knitscene summer 2015 and uses a twisted stitch and cable pattern on the fronts, back, and just a bit at the sleeve cuffs.

Amy's Anil Cardigan from knitscene Summer 2016 shows off how great Berroco Indigo looks in a lace pattern. The combination of open stitches and decreases lends gorgeous shoulder details to this open-front cardigan.

Our free pattern this week, Serge, shows off how great Berroco Indigo can look in a crochet project! The body of this slightly cropped cardigan is crocheted in one piece, then the dropped sleeves are worked and seamed. The stitch pattern is repeated to form the front bands.

Don't forget about the Berroco Remix Light KAL! We just started yesterday, but we'll be knitting or crocheting until July 15, so you've got plenty of time to join in.
Happy knitting,
