We're really excited about this knit-along and hope you will join us!
All of the patterns in Berroco Portfolio Volume 4 are all timeless pieces that we've been itching to knit, so we're making them the focus of our Fall Knit-along! If you've participated in any of our other knit-alongs this year, you know how much fun they can be. So we hope you will join us as we start knitting our way through Portfolio Volume 4.

Here are the details:
Cast-on day: Friday, September 15
Bind-off day: Friday, November 17
Patterns: Any pattern from Berroco Portfolio Volume 4
Yarn: Berroco Ultra® Wool, Berroco Ultra Alpaca, or Berroco Vintage®
As usual, we'll be chatting about our progress, asking and answering questions, and sharing photos in the Berroco Lovers Ravelry group. You do need a free Ravelry account to post in the threads. And as always, you are not only allowed but encouraged to swatch before the knit-along begins.

This time, we're introducing an optional newsletter series to help you stay motivated and connected to the knit-along. Beginning September 15, we'll be sending out one email a week for the duration of the knit-along; each email will have helpful hints and tricks that are useful for the Portfolio Vol. 4 patterns, in-progress photos from participants, and a discussion topic.
|
|
You absolutely do not have to sign up for the knit-along newsletter to participate, it is completely optional. But if you do choose to sign up for the newsletter, we're offering a 25% coupon code on the Portfolio Volume 4 eBook to anyone who subscribes by September 15. (Coupon code will be delivered via email after you confirm your subscription.) Your email address will not be used in any way other than to send you information about the Portfolio Volume 4 knit-along, and there will be 10 emails in all.

I'll be knitting Allison Jane's Isthmus Pullover for the knit-along, but you should pick whichever pattern (or patterns) from the book most appeal to you!

If you're looking for some lighter fare, check out this week's free pattern. The Shenandoah socks are knit with one skein of Berroco Ultra Alpaca Fine. These top-down socks feature a lacy repeat that travels down the front and back of the leg before the heel flap is worked. The pattern is written for two circular needles, but could easily be adapted for Magic Loop or DPNs.

I hope you'll join us in our knit-along adventure!
Happy knitting,
