Let our Berroco Ginkgo mini-collection sweep you off your feet.
As you might remember, Berroco Ginkgo® is a gorgeous blend of silk and wool that we introduced last fall with Booklet 376 Berroco Ginkgo. Our third PDF collection of Fall 2017 is dedicated to this luxurious yarn, with two garments and two accessories that show off a soft, romantic side to knitting.

The Rosalba cardigan is knit from the cuffs to the center of the body before being joined in the back with a three-needle bind off. A simple eyelet stitch pattern is worked at the cuffs and front edges of this open-front cardigan, knit in a new color, 9659 Iolite.

Double yarnovers are used to create an open, airy eyelet stitch in the Carolee shawl, shown in color 9607 Moonstone. This asymmetrical shawl begins at the narrowest edge and widens, before stitches are bound off in sections to create the scalloped edge.

A simple cable motif is framed by eyelet to create the top half of Zinaida. Knit in the second of two new colors, 9604 Opal, the yoke is knit from the cuffs to the middle of the body, then the pieces are joined with a three-needle bind off. Stitches are picked up and knit down to form the rest of the body, making this an easy sweater.

Looking for a little bit of a challenge? Lygia uses two colors of Berroco Ginkgo in a two-color brioche stitch to form a stunning reversible cowl. The whole piece is worked in the round, and we've got a couple of videos to help you tackle brioche knitting (it's a lot easier than it looks!). Find the videos in this blog post, then choose two contrasting colors of Berroco Ginkgo to knit your own—we used 9639 Quartz and 9670 Pewter.

This week's free pattern, Channel, is a simple vest knit from side-to-side in seed stitch. The generous fronts drape near the neck, creating a flowing garment with very little work.
