Have you been by the Berroco Blog lately?

Maybe you've got it bookmarked or maybe you didn't even know we had a blog (we do!). Whether you're a long-time reader or first-time visitor, we have tons of blog posts on a variety of topics that might interest you, especially if you're looking to tackle new skills in the new year.

We like to write about general knitting and crochet techniques that could help anyone, but we also do a lot of posts specifically for our knit-alongs on our blog. Case in point, one of our most popular posts from 2017 was about short-row shaping in the neck, as part of our Berroco Remix® Light knit-along. In this post, Alison breaks down why anyone would want to shape the back of the neck in a sweater, along with one technique for doing so.

Another popular post was about shaping sweaters for those of us with wide hips. This blog post came about because of a question that a reader asked in our blog post about understanding ease—so if you have any particular questions and can't find them from searching our blog, please feel free to ask!
We also like to share our knowledge about more advanced techniques, or those that go specifically with certain patterns, such as the learn to knit two-color brioche blog post that accompanies the Lygia pattern. In this instance, we included two videos about the topic to help knitters successfully make this gorgeous two-color brioche cowl.
We also have an incredible blog archive that includes posts from former Berroco employees, such as Amanda Keep's very informative Ask Amanda series. Amanda answered a lot of questions that newer knitters may have, including Which Side of My Knitting is the Right Side, How Do I Count My Rows, or What Does WYIF Mean? If you've got any newer knitters in your life, be sure to share those posts with them!

We also like to write blog posts about our new yarns (we've got some great ones for spring and summer that you won't want to miss), giveaway opportunities, and so much more, so be sure to check out the blog frequently! If you follow us on Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook, we like to share our blog posts on all of those platforms.

This week's free pattern is Rosemary, a simple cowl worked with three colors of Berroco Ultra® Alpaca Chunky. We have a whole slew of blog posts about this cozy, quick-knitting yarn—be sure to grab a cup of tea or coffee as you sit down to read all about this awesome yarn!
