This is it! Our first Knit-along of 2018.
We had such a blast with our knit-alongs last year that we've been looking forward to our knit-alongs for 2018! This first one is kind of a partnership with our friends at Ístex Lopi yarns, but is really just because the Berroco Design Team is in love with these sweaters (and this yarn) and we think you might love them too! If you made "knit a sweater" one of your goals for 2018, this is the knit-along for you. There's a lot of great things about these sweaters, including minimal seaming (really just a handful of stitches at the underarms), they have beautiful designs (in a variety of color choices), are flattering on a wide variety of body types, and are super cozy!

Here are the details:
Cast-on day: Thursday, February 1
Bind-off day: Thursday, March 15
Patterns: Any sweater pattern that calls for stranded colorwork (don't worry, we have some suggestions in this blog post)
Yarn: Ístex Léttlopi, Ístex Álafosslopi, Ístex Plötulopi, Berroco Ultra® Wool, Berroco Ultra Alpaca, or Berroco Vintage®
We know that Lopi yarns aren't for everyone, which is why we're opening it up to include a few select Berroco yarns—Ultra Wool, Ultra Alpaca, and Vintage should all work in your pattern, but as always, be sure to swatch!

As usual, we'll be chatting about our progress, asking and answering questions, and sharing photos in the Berroco Lovers Ravelry group. You do need a free Ravelry account to post in the threads. And as always, you are not only allowed but encouraged to swatch before the knit-along begins.
As we did with our Berroco Portfolio Volume 4 knit-along, we'll have an optional newsletter series to help you stay motivated and connected to the knit-along.

Beginning February 1, we'll be sending out one email a week for the duration of the knit-along; each email will have a guide for the week and related helpful hints and tricks that are useful for any bottom-up, seamless sweater.
You absolutely do not have to sign up for the knit-along newsletter to participate, it is completely optional. Your email address will not be used in any way other than to send you information about the Lopi Sweater knit-along, and there will be 8 emails in all.
