This week's new free pattern is a pair of great baskets—and they're crocheted!
These must-make baskets are eye-catching—a really simple off-set pattern creates a stunning effect with two colors of Berroco Suede™. Maybe you're new to crochet, however, so we have some videos to help you learn and build upon these skills to make these baskets (or perhaps one or two of the older free patterns in this email).
Both baskets begin the same way, with a simple crochet chain that is joined to form a ring. So you'll need to know how to make chain stitches in crochet—this is one of the basic stitches and used very frequently in many crochet patterns.
Watch the video above or click here to see how to work a crochet chain.
Once you've created your ring of crochet chain stitches, you'll begin working single crochet into the ring. Watch the video below to learn how to work a single crochet stitch.

Crochet these cozy baskets in no time! Two colors of Berroco Suede and basic crochet skills are all you need to create the stunning baskets in the Levitt pattern. Both sizes are included, and easily customizable.
