Cross off your gift-making to-do list!

Welcome to November!
I'm not really sure where this year has gone—it feels like only last week we were talking about knitting for spring—but here we are with just a few weeks left until the big holiday season! If you're thinking about making gifts for friends and family this year, we've got a few options that don't require a lot of yarn—let's take a look!
One Skein Projects
These only require one skein (or ball) of yarn, making them quick, economical projects to whip up! Dillwyn (left) uses one ball of Berroco Millefiori® Light to create an eye-catching skinny scarf. And one ball of Berroco Regatta® makes Praia, a lightweight cowl with a waving stitch pattern.
Two Skein Projects
You'll need two skeins of yarn to complete these projects, but in many cases, you can get two projects out of them—just reverse the colors in the striping! For instance, if you knit the Lindgren Socks, you can use one color of Berroco Ultra® Wool DK as the main color in one pair, and then use the remains as the contrast color in the second pair.

The Levitt baskets file includes two free crochet patterns for two sizes of baskets, and each basket uses two balls of Berroco Suede™. How sweet would these be filled with homemade treats (or store bought, we're not telling)?

The Ramona and Beezus hat pattern uses two skeins of Berroco Pixel™ but again, you can likely mix-and-match the skeins to maximize your yarn usage! With three sizes included in the pattern, you've got all your hat-knitting bases covered.
Three Skein Projects
These projects require a little bit more yarn but not a lot more time. The Shoreham washcloth set uses three colors of Berroco Pima 100™  and would pair nicely with a locally made soap or lotion in a gorgeous gift set.
The Caravel shawl requires three balls of Berroco Quinoa®, shown here in #1055 Cayenne. Knit from the bottom up, this easy lace shawl would surely be cherished by the recipient for years to come.

One of our new yarns for fall, Berroco Aero™ is a fluffy, lightweight yarn in fun colors and makes for a long loopy cowl. Savio is crocheted with three balls of #8015 Cumulus, but would be just as fun in any of the 8 shades of Berroco Aero.

Add this week's free pattern to the two-skein project list! Ayla is a free sock knitting pattern that uses Berroco Vintage® Chunky to quickly whip up a fast, fun pair of socks. These socks are knit from the top down on two circular needles (though they can be adjusted for double-pointed needles or Magic Loop), with a simple cable repeat worked on the front and top of the foot, as well as the back above the heel flap.
Will you be making any gifts this year?

Happy knitting,
