Many of us in the United States will be celebrating Thanksgiving this week, which in my mind is the official weekend to realize that Christmas is coming very soon (and to be thankful for wonderful things in my life and eat great food—it's a complex holiday). I've dreamed about making holiday decor, and rarely manage to get around to it—I did decorate a wreath form one year by wrapping leftover yarn around it.

Our friend Vickie Howell just recently released this free pattern for an adorable plush pumpkin on her blog, knit with Berroco Macro™ in 6746 Puffin Beak. Knit on US size 17 needles, you only need about 60 yards of Macro to make one pumpkin. And don't worry—you still have time to knit one as your table centerpiece! For you crocheters, Vickie also has a crochet version and the link is at the bottom of blog post for the knitted pumpkin.
