You may have heard of Local Record Store Day, or Local Comic Book Store Day, but now there's one for those of us who like to play with yarn! This Saturday, April 27, is the second annual Local Yarn Store Day. Organized by the National Needlearts Association (TNNA), Local Yarn Store Day designed to show support for small businesses while bringing together a unique community of knitters, crocheters, weavers, and spinners to drive awareness and celebrate the craft. Yarn companies and yarn stores alike are coming together to showcase the benefits of locally owned yarn stores through an array of special products, classes, and more!
We've provided participating shops that carry Berroco yarns with a limited edition booklet featuring seven Berroco patterns in some of your favorite yarns, a $42 valueโbut only 20 booklets were sent to each shop, so be sure to ask your shop about getting one of the booklets!
This is a great opportunity to grab enough yarn to participate in our Marsh + Mallow Knit-along! The patterns are free, and you only need a handful of skeins or balls of a DK-weight Berroco yarn to make either Marsh or Mallow!
Visit your LYS this Saturday, April 27, to take advantage of Local Yarn Store Day and pick up enough Berroco Folio to crochet this week's free pattern, Goneril! This crocheted shawl pattern is worked from side-to-side with the lace edging worked as you go. Just a few balls of Berroco Folio is all you need to make this!
Be sure to show off your Local Yarn Store day purchases and tag @berrocoyarn so we can see your new yarns!
