We've been working on a doozy of a collection for fall and winter and it's almost time to show it off!

But first, we wanted to take a little look back at our Spring and Summer pattern offerings. We introduced five new yarns for this season, along with pattern booklets for each, and also shared new PDF patterns for some of our most popular yarns from previous seasons. I asked the rest of the design team which patterns they loved from the collection; here's what they had to say:

Donna Yacino, Design Department Assistant: At the top of my to-make list is Soca in Berroco Estiva™—one for me and one for my daughter. I like the unusual structure. I'm very pleased with all my designs for the Berroco Medina® collection, but Maldives is next on my list, because it reminds me of the ocean! And Cabriele is the perfect little shawl in our 100% silk yarn, Berroco Mantra™.

Amy Christoffers, Design Director: I'm actually knitting Arda, from our Berroco Vibe™ booklet, for myself right now. It's a simple bottom up, seamless cardigan with easy eyelet motifs. It is slightly cropped and has that vintage look that never goes out of style. I see myself wearing it over dresses all year round and I think it could be really cute over pants and a sleeveless top as well. Next on my list is Saja, made with Berroco Mantra, and Zezare, a cute crocheted bag made with Berroco Linen Stonewash.

Alison Green, Design Department Manager: Well, I'm a little biased, but I'm going to say Esla in Berroco Mantra... because it's my wedding dress! When Amy Christoffers asked me to design this dress, I already had something else picked out to make for my wedding, but ultimately I liked how this came out so much that I decided I needed to make it for myself. It’s worked from the top down, which is helpful for trying on as you go. I’ve heard some chatter from a few knitters about making a tunic version of Esla, or even just a top, which I think is a great idea! I also love Soca and Magra in Berroco Estiva, and Demaris from the Berroco Millefiori Light collection was such fun to knit!

Amy Palmer, Media Director (that's me!): I'm the only one who didn't have any stakes in this game, as I didn't design anything for this season, so I got to look at it all fresh and with no biases! My number one pick, all season long, has been Odeleite in Berroco Linen Stonewash. There's just something about a super relaxed tee that calls to me, and it would be great for warm weather! In that same vein, I also really want my own Gasperaux from our Berroco Quinoa® collection, and Elta, knit with Berroco Ultra Wool® Fine!
