We love Katrinkles' cute wood-burned knitting tools—you can spot several of her buttons in photos of Berroco patterns! In addition to buttons, gauge rulers, and stitch markers, Katrinkles has adorable sweater ornaments that you can decorate yourself and use as decorative ornaments, gift tags, or just cute little decor to make you smile (and use up leftover yarn).

New this year is the Knitters' Planner! This spiral-bound notebook includes tons of pages for planning your weeks (and scheduling much needed craft-time), making detailed notes about your projects, and includes a collection of stitch patterns and a handful of knitting patterns, including a gorgeous cabled hat form our own Alison Green!

Books always top my wish list, and there's usually at least one knitting or crochet book on the list. Barbara Benson's Big Yarn, Beautiful Lace Knits is a wonderful exploration of combining heavy yarns with delicate lace stitches. Perfect for anyone who loves the look of lace but doesn't like small needles!
And be sure to take a look at Ellen Gormley's One Skein Crochet! This beautiful book features great stash-busting crochet projects.

Here's one more free pattern for your consideration! Portage is a cabled hat pattern with a deep twisted rib brim, topped with an optional pompom. You only need one hank of Berroco Mercado™ to knit this cozy hat!
