I am pleased to introduce our newest pattern booklets and yarns for SPRING/SUMMER 2007.
This fall's weather has been an anomaly! Armed with woolen yarn and plenty of "sweater weather" inspiration, we experienced a record breaking warm spell here in New England while other parts of the country are seeing uncharacteristically cold weather. It gave us pause to reflect on the possibility of trans-seasonal or transitional design and the fact that we ought to have other options for stylish knit dressing that can transcend the seasonal fiber divide. Layered looks create a new system of knit dressing that allows us to adapt to environmental weather changes by taking off pieces and putting on pieces without sacrificing the total look. It was as if we had a crystal ball when our design team merchandised the collection for Spring/Summer '07. Enabling our knitters to adapt to climatic changes and travel wardrobe needs, we used Pure®Merino, Softwist™ and Ultra®Alpaca along with our 4 new yarns: Bonsai™, Nostalgia™, Love
It™ and Love
It™Colors.
Shop the tempting styles in our 8 pattern booklets: #255

Vivian from cyberspace wrote,
I am knitting your free pattern for the Berroco Memoirs® mitten from last week's KnitBits. I don't understand what M1k means in the directions for the gusset, please explain.
Vivian, we have linked our abbreviations to our glossary page for your convenience. Simply by clicking on the M1k you will go directly to the glossary of abbreviated knitting terms for a definition.
All the best,
