Round yarn for year round knitting

Today we will focus on new spring/summer yarns Love it™ and Love it™Colors and our trans-seasonal alternative, Pure®Merino. We will also take a tour of two new booklets: #256 Love it and #258 Little Ones.

For a connoisseur of knitting there is nothing so wonderful as a perfectly round yarn that is soft and supple, allowing the knitter to create impeccable stitches. Our rounded Pure Merino and Pure Merino™Heather have inspired so many great patterns. Our range of 49 shades includes practically every color imaginable. It is an extra fine merino yarn spun by the masters of the spinning industry in Italy. We challenged them to create a cotton alternative with the same supple hand while retaining the superb memory that is inherent to Pure Merino. Their solution was Love it. They created a warm weather alternative by twisting a multi-plied luxury cotton/acrylic with a touch of polyester for elastic memory. We were so pleased with the results of the solid dyed shades that we developed long stripe repeats in Love it Colors to keep pace with the popular trend of self striping yarns. The Pure Merino and Love it families of yarn are machine washable so they are the ideal choices for knitting and crocheting for kids as well as adults.

Booklet #256 Love it™ contains 7 styles ranging from the uber-femme Licious, a wrap cardi that adds a touch of romance to sultry summer sun dressing. Lali, L'aran and Latisha offer choices for weekend ease. Lana is a striped jumper/long vest and Lavinia, a surplice wrap top, is sleeveless with a dropped shoulder cap. La Cieniga is a tee with a flirty new construction, knit in Love it Colors with the artisanal dye effect of a long stripe repeat.

Booklet #258 Little Ones is completely devoted to kids, with an assortment of projects to knit for babies through size 4 kids in Love it, Love it Colors and Pure Merino. Bettina is an adorable striped jumper with a lacy lining creating a balloon hem. Bernie and Bonnie are boy and girl rompers in Love it. Belinda is a t-shirt in Love it Colors. Bob is an aran pullover with a matching cap in Pure Merino. Bitsy is a cap, bib and socks in Love it. Bonita is a crocheted cardigan that ties to close. Baby Love is our beautiful blanket to knit in Pure Merino for a keepsake blankie. It clearly says LOVE YOU in bold garter stitch block letters.

Because the gauge is the same for Love it and Pure Merino, you can easily translate a summer garment into a year-round treasure by interchanging these two yarns.

Our free pattern collection today features the Sinead pullover, scarf and throw. You may choose to knit them in either Pure Merino or Pure Merino™Heather.
